Modulational Instability of Ion-Acoustic Waves in Pair-Ion Plasma

The modulational instability (MI) of ion-acoustic waves (IAWs) is examined theoretically in a four-component plasma system containing inertialess electrons featuring non-thermal, non-extensive distribution, iso-thermal positrons, and positively as well negatively charged inertial ions. In this connection, non-linear Schrödinger equation (NLSE), which dominates the conditions for MI associated with IAWs, obtained by using reductive perturbation method. numerical analysis NLSE reveals that increment non-thermality leads to more unstable state, whereas enhancement non-extensivity introduces less state. It also signifies bright (dark) (IA) envelope solitons mode (stable) domain. its growth rate regime IAWs are vigorously modified different parameters (viz., q-distributed electron, positron, ion charge mass non-thermal parameter α, temperature electron etc.).
